I was born in Hereford in 1981 and I currently live in Xi'an, China. I've lived previously in Herefordshire, Oman, East London and Surrey. I attended Royal Holloway university where I read Computer Science. I co-founded Albion, which I'm rather proud of.

I'm currently reading the A Song of Ice & Fire series by George R. R. Martin, along with everyone else who watched the HBO series I guess. When I'm bored I tend towards online puzzles: the Times Crossword (the easy one), Babble, Nurikabe, chess and so on — see my puzzle bookmarks for more.

Contact

If you would like to get in touch, please email me at . I prefer email, but you can also use my email address to chat to me on Google Talk and/or Jabber.

You can find me on Skype as henrytodd. If you'd like to call me please remember that it's GMT+8 here and I don't always have Skype running. It might be helpful to send an email first to arrange a time.

I leave a terminal connected to various irc servers, the most public being Freenode, where my nick is just my initials (hjst). It's not the most reliable way to contact me, but you can try pinging me anyway if you like.

Elsewhere

Apart from the services like Pinboard and last.fm which I've incorporated into this page, you can find me on twitter, github, and linkedin.

I also use ifttt to maintain an automated tumblr which collects articles I find, photos and so on. It's the closest thing to a blog I have.

Photos

I used to be a keen photographer but lately I've been neglecting it, I'm not really sure why. Nevertheless you can find me on Flickr if you like. I keep meaning to do something fun with the Flickr JSON API and jQuery. Hopefully writing this here will help motivate me (Jan 2012).

Music & Radio

I listen to quite a bit of radio, mostly late-night BBC shows thanks to the time difference. You can check out Pinboard for my bookmarked podcasts.

Last.fm is good for finding new music, if you use it you might like to check my profile page.

Published

I don't have a blog, but sometimes I publish something publicly and link to it here. These links could be about computer science, pig husbandry or cookery; there's no theme.
